- WHAT'S NEW
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------
- build 342 * Minor changes from 341...
- [02-03-97]
-
- build 341 * Added a Shortcut Key configuration item to the TurboLaunch
- [02-02-97] configuration screen. This Shortcut Key allows you to
- activate TurboLaunch with a simple, user-selectable
- keystroke sequence (similar to assigning Shorcut Keys to
- launch buttons).
-
-
- build 340 * Fixed a problem with dropping multiple shortcut objects
- [01-18-97] onto a button with "Drop 'n Launch" AND "Dereference
- Drop 'n Launch Shortcuts" options enabled.
-
- * Added configurability to the way the time and date are
- displayed in the Status Bar. You can now choose between
- Long and Short time formats and Long and Short date
- formats. The Control Panel defines the exact format, but
- typical formats are as follows:
-
- Short Time: 11:30 am
- Long Time: 11:30:42 am
- Short Date: 1/18/97
- Long Date: Saturday, January 18, 1997
-
- These options are found in the main TurboLaunch
- configuration screen, in the Appearance section.
-
-
- build 339 * Fixed a bug with regards to dropping a non-shortcut object
- [12-23-96] onto a button with "Drop 'n Launch" AND "Dereference Drop
- 'n Launch Shortcuts" options enabled.
-
-
- build 338 * Made the code which checks to see if TurboLaunch is
- [12-21-96] already running a little smarter. It is no longer fooled
- when you have another window open with the title
- "TurboLaunch". (For example, if you have a folder named
- "TurboLaunch" and it is open when you try and start
- TurboLaunch, TurboLaunch will no longer give you an error
- stating that it is already running.)
-
-
- build 337 * Added an option to the Button Configuration screen to
- [12-17-96] dereference shortcuts dropped on a "Drop 'n Launch"
- button. Previously dropped shorcuts would always be
- pass their absolute filename. Checking the option
- "Dereference Drop 'n Launch Shortcuts" will cause the
- referenced filename to be passed instead, which is usually
- much more useful than the shortcut's absolute filename.
-
- * Redesigned the Button Configuration screen slightly to
- accommodate more options.
-
-
- build 336 * Temporarily removed 16x16 icon support because of the
- [12-07-96] unexpected limitations it imposed on the Icon Selection
- dialog box. Support will be re-implemented at a later
- date.
-
-
- build 335 * Added a "Close TurboLaunch" option to the Button
- [12-06-96] Properties screen. When this option is checked, then
- TurboLaunch will close itself after launching the button.
-
- * TurboLaunch will now use the 16x16 icon when you specify
- an icon size of 20 pixels or less.
-
- Before, TurboLaunch would simply scale the 32x32 icon
- down to 16x16, but this wasn't as visually appealing
- as using the 16x16 icon. Most Windows 95 programs include
- both a 32x32 and a 16x16 icon.
-
- TurboLaunch automatically regenerates the icon images if
- you switch the icon size to 20 or below (or switch it back
- to above 20). However, if your icon size is currently at
- 20 or below, you should click the "Freshen" button on the
- TurboLaunch configuration screen so that the best icon
- images will be used.
-
- * The "Specify Dynamic Parameters" dialog now ensures that
- it appears on top of other windows. (This was a problem
- when TurboLaunch did not have the focus and a button that
- asked for dynamic parameters was launched via its shortcut
- key.)
-
-
- build 334 * Minor change to the multiline check boxes on the
- [12-03-96] TurboLaunch configuration screen. (They're now genuinely
- multiline.)
-
- * Fixed the Browse problem with RUN dialogs which prevented
- the chosen file from being placed in the command field.
-
-
- build 333 * Fixed the SWAP and ARRANGE commands. (In build 332 they
- [12-03-96] were reporting an Access Violation error.)
-
-
- build 332 * The "Separate Memory Space" option on the Button
- [12-02-96] Properties screen is now enabled only when a 16-bit
- Windows EXE is entered into the Command field. (32-bit
- Windows programs and all DOS programs run in separate
- memory spaces by default. And remember, you can only use
- this feature if you are running Windows NT 3.51 or above.)
-
- * Button descriptions can now appear on the button's face.
- (This is in addition to or instead of on the status bar or
- as tool-tips.) The font used to display the description
- can be customized on the TurboLaunch configuration screen.
-
-
- build 331 * Added new options to the TurboLaunch configuration screen
- [11-29-96] which allow you to specify default folders for file
- selection dialogs. These folders are checked for
- validity.
-
- * The specified Working Folder on the button properties
- screen is now checked for validity.
-
- * All text and combo boxes that prompt for file or folder
- input now have drag and drop support. Files or folders
- may be dropped onto such text and combo boxes to quickly
- place that filename in the input field.
-
- * Fixed the occasional Dereference problem where the icon
- image would get lost. (This problem usually appeared
- only after the Freshen command was issued.)
-
-
- build 330 * The "Drop 'n Launch" property of a button is now
- [11-27-96] transferred properly during a SWAP, ARRANGE, and DUPLICATE
- procedure.
-
- * Filenames with embedded spaces are now passed with
- surrounding quotation marks when dropped on a button
- configured for the "Drop 'n Launch" feature.
-
-
- build 329 * Right-clicking on group tabs works again. (This was
- [11-23-96] broken in the previous build.)
-
-
- build 328 * This file! The changes will now be documented in this
- [11-21-96] file.
-
- * Made the TurboLaunch configuration screen a little smater;
- it will no longer allow you to choose "On Launch -> Roll-Up"
- if the Title Bar is set to "None". In previous builds
- this combination was allowed, and if TurboLaunch rolled-up
- without a title bar, there wasn't a way to get it to roll-
- down without restarting it!
-
- * TurboLaunch now detects when there has been a change in
- the "3-D color" and will automatically refresh the icon
- images to reflect the new color. (Some parts of the
- TurboLaunch window may not update their color
- automatically.)
